Ethics is the main pillar [of all religions.] Allah sent prophets to promote it making it an educational basis for building man. The Messenger of Allah (s) made morals the basis of religion by saying: “Religion is good manners.” He even went further than this when he considered good manners as the objective of his prophecy. The Husaini movement is actually an extension of the thought of his noble grandfather and his moral approach. It has now become a moral constitution for free people around the world. This article refers to the soft [but hostile] policy that Mu'awiyah adopted against moral principles and their practitioners about whom the verse of purification was revealed and who were the symbols of morals. Hypocrisy took initiative to achieve its ambitions. The moral standard of depriving people of their will and freedom and buying them off rose to its climax in the era of his son Yazid, who first killed Husain, and finally demolished Ka'ba. Had it not been for the revolution of Imam Husain (peace be upon him), the Islam that was revealed to Muhammad (s) would have ended permanently or its features would have changed drastically. Showing historically that the society - at that time – was deviated from moral values, it aims to explain the constructive role of Imam Husain (peace be upon him) and his intellectual and moral movement in reforming the Islamic nation and restoring the moral values that were current in the era of his grandfather, the Messenger of Allah (s).
