Women are an integral part of society, and their personality, behavior, culture and thought to play an important role in forming human society. Since religion is a social institution that shows how to communicate between men and women in society and build the relationship between them, the position of the laws towards the status and personality of women becomes increasingly important.
The purpose of this research is to investigate women’s political participation in the Prophet’s era through a sociological approach. This research was prepared in a historical manner, and the technique used in collecting information is documentary. Islam considers women, by changing the attitude towards them, equal to men in terms of human dignity. The Prophet’s interest in building a society based on human values, regardless of the norm of gender in accordance with the Qur’anic teachings, led to the political participation of women. This perspective is completely different from what it was in the pre-Islamic era
